1 or 2 Gig cf cards?

Hi everyone! I'm new here, and I would like to ask if anyone had any succes with 1 or 2 gig cards? If yes, which type and can the unit use the whole 1 or 2 gigs? or it uses it as a 512?

only 512mb cards...theoretically someone could try partitioning a cf card to 512mb and maybe 606 could read it,but I doupt....

Than I must find a good 512 in Hungary I only found the normal sandisk 512 not the ultra 2... but hope that works well too

My bad, I didn't know 512mb was the max for the 606. I thought it was 1gb like the 404.

Doesn't matter since you can only use as much memory as can fit in the pad banks so unless you are going for really long samples you won't need that much memory.

I'm not sure that people did find that above 512 MB it actually doesn't work ?
Anybody tried 1 GB, 2 GB for the SP-606 ?

Not sure, but I think the latest update upped it to 1GB. Have to check on Roland.com, I can't at the moment.

That'd be nice, even 1GB, but I think to understand from your other post of today that's in fact still 512, I'll read further in that thread.
