hi
i bought a digitech rp-355 used. i tried at home but no sound comes out. no sound from the outs, form the usb, from the aux in on not from the phonse. at first i thought about a OS trouble, so i reinitialise the machine but the problem persist.
maybe the alimentation power is not ok for that machine: is not the original digitech one. the rp-355 wants 9v and 1,3ma when this adapter gives 2000ma...
i read on the net that someone talked about a diode to substitute in relation with that last thing...
any metal/pedal/rockish/weird head out of here?
thanks

Ive owned a few digitech effect pedals for guitar and bass... and i never had one that didnt break within a week or two. They make TERRIBLE products. Your best bet is to sell it and get a boss effect pedal. More costly but they make a fine product.

yes, i know the some of them (i own single pedals like the mz-2 and the syb-5) but owning yet the sp505 and the 303 i wanted to hear some other product: so i got the zoom g2.1nu and the korg ax1500g.
this digitech one i liked because of the 20sec sampler+whammy+lfo etc...now i still can return back to the seller, tha'ts not an issue, but before doing that i would have liked to hear some sounds from it in my studio...
thanks anyway.

Sorry i cant be more helpful. All i know is you would probably be better off without any digitech products.

Like i said. Ive owned a few digitech pedals and every time they broke in a week or two. Ive just had bad experiences with digitech. I have a behringer bass amp that ive had for about 6 years and it still works great, ive played a bunch of live shows with it and put it through a lot of abuse, i like behringer products for that reason.

I also had a digitech rp80 and the expression pedal broke in under a week with little use. Took it back immediately. I'm with lazerbear on this one. My cheap ass berhinger mixers have never broke and the ones I suggested for friends are still going strong too.

Damn. This is not encouraging at all.
But almost every reviews about digitech in general i read here in france were positives...
Ps

I'd check if the adapter does actually provide 9v (or 9.6v) - if it's unregulated, it could be anything from 9v up to 14v or so. As for the current draw it shouldn't be a problem, unless it doesn't actually provide 2000mA (the adapter needs to provide more current than what the pedal draws).

You might wanna check stinkfoot for more info on that stuff (http://stinkfoot.se/articles/power).

Also, you could always try and contact Digitech support.

I've had good experiences with the bottom of the low end of both Digitech and Behringer gear, both had great (email) support too.

My Behringer mixer is still serving me well after 8 years. FX packed up but other than that it's fine.

Haha, I've seen Wolf Eyes live a couple of times. They made my ears hurt. Intense!
