Problem with noise mass (ground-noise)

Hi guys
This is not a big deal, but when i record the sample and I hit REC I can hear a noise of mass... I'm sure it's the power supply.. it's sound like an engine in some way "umhhhhhhzzz..."

Anyone has got this problem? There are some way to isolate the SP-303 properly from the ground? or from the power-supply?

P.S. I can fix it quite easily cause it end after few seconds after pressed REC.. or i can move a bit the power supply and it's better. It's important how much stuff it's connected into the power strip...

They do have a problem with grounding unfortunately.

But, make sure your turntable is grounded too. Also, try plugging your 303 into another outlet, away from other gear.

If I plug two laptops into any outlet in my studio I will get that noise too. If I unplug one and run it from battery power the noise goes away so I'm sure the issue is with the batteries charging ac to dc power or sumthin. I guess my point is that electronics are weird and everybody has a different "setup/lab" so you just gotta do what works best in your situation. On a side note some music gear has a higher noise floor than others, I got rid of my korg esx because I couldn't stand the white noise it made.

Lots of things can create that noise. An old lamp in your room on the same line as your gear, or even swinging power lines outside. A power conditioner may help. Also I saw a video about a guy attaching a car audio noise reducer to his setup to help the problem.

You can get a noise canceling power bar
It worked well for me., but those 303s are loud. Check the gear you have plugged into it too.
Sometimes crossed rca cables conduct a lot of noise if they aren't shielded

I had the same problem w my 303, i was using a super nintendo power suply for the longest time then switched to the zoom sampletrak power supply and the noise stopped

yeah move it away from other gear and check it. If you need it next to your gear, get it away from monitors. And dont have any cords running perpendicular to other cords, always run em parallel. When they cross, that creates noise. Learned that from another post on here and some research on soundonsound.com. Electricity is so wiley.
