I think that one truly helpful thing could to be able to block spammers account, but how to technically do that?

just note the names and send them via pm to the admin, so he can delete the accounts.

is there a captcha for new users? im also part of a forum that has a thread you have to post in to 'introduce' yourself. if you don't post relevently in there within a few days you're considered spam and deleted

Nah, I'm really busy working on my companies so unfortunately I don't have time to check the forums that often. Hopefully with the new mods the spam should become less of a problem.
