"A small collection of music that did not make it on other releases due to style, or timing, or an incomplete mix....but could not be left on a doorstep in a basket to languish. Slightly different than the usual Blavatsky releases, but still with a sense of melancholy, strong beats, and lofi melodies."

A quick 6 song set of stuff a little different than SP forum fare, but might interest trip hop/electronic/chilled out fans. Feedback appreciated

Finally got to go through your discography. You got some really good shit. Fucking groovy. I actually like Orphans vol 1 the most. Its scattered as far as mixing, i think, but thats whats i like most, the un-megaprocessed audio. And it seems like you did some nice stuff with your drums and the djfx. I think it was you discussing how to use djfx with your drums to add some swing. I have been messing around with that a lot lately but im still a rookie at swinging drums but the fact that the effects lets you do the quick turntable reverse and do the looper effect to make it seem like your drums are doing rolls. Theres a lot of potential. But again, nice album. Its made it into the rotation.

thanks for the feedback - Yeah the mixing/style is not consistent as some of this is a couple years old, some newer (different gear/way I process stuff) but at the same time I wanted to leave it kind of raw and let each track have its own sound....I debated whether this was good or bad to do so I appreciate the positive response.

Like you said on Airship for example I think the DJFX/BPM looper/Tape Echo gets used to funky up the drums some.

Yeah that's one of the tracks I like. And the last one with that crazy drum scramble in the middle of the drum loop. Neat little roll/ crunch. I am the worst at drum programming. It's easy to make a basic drum loop but hard for me to add interesting things to it like what you seem to be doing. So I appreciate more than boom gap but processed drums and experimentation. Nice work.
