Using the SP-303 as an efx unit??

I was wondering how I can pull this off...??

I want to drop my line outs from my AI to the ins of the sp-303 and monitor through it? Or to apply the effects do I have to sample into the unit and then apply fx??

Then I want to run everything back into my DAW

Maybe just wishful thinking...

Basically, I'm all in the box...with a tube pre I use as a color box.

So, my chain looks like this

DAW/AI --> pre --> AI line in

lol that's it.

ok cool... yea my DAW takes external fx/instr... I just didn't know if the 303 acted as a standalone fx unit...

thought the fx could only be applied to samples within the unit...sorry for the ignorance lol

everything is just fine
think at the 303 (or the sp series) as a multi effect pedal that one day waking up looking at the mirror dicovers itself to be became a sampler
