Yup, seems to be getting worse too.

I wonder if they guys who run the site still check in? We at least need some mods.

Upgrading to the lastest version of phpBB would help. Then installing a spambot catching tool. One I know works will ask a question to new users signing up, it will only allow you to proceed if you can give the right answer.
