Direct Box

Hi,

I want to plug my guitar through an analog phase pedal into the quarter inch mic input to record it into the 404. I assume that the impedance levels of a guitar jack and mic jack are different so think I will need a direct box?

Has anyone else tried this? Can anyone recommend a good direct box?

i've recorded guitars and bass straight into the jack input man, it works just fine, just tweak it like you would anything else to get the right level
