i've got an urgent backup to do.
they're all samples stored in the card, with no sequencing data.
what to do to save them from the card in the real order? just to not miss time after (they're from different banks)...i noticed on the manual that you can only do backup from internal memory, so one trick to do could be to clipboard every sample on the internal banks...but have you got some trick to save IN ORDER every card's samples? i took a look at the smartmedia on the pc, and there are too many samples in an order that i don't really understand (sometimes they're on SMP0038L etc but other times they're like SMP001AL or SMP001BL etc (???)...maybe this means that i put on mono L or mono R some of them? who knows...
anyway, when you save from card, how do you place sample correctly (the right bank, the right pad i mean) when loading them?

the same method to save from internal memory to cards works also for saving from card memory...
i was confused by the manual (page 67) when says "...here's how to save sample's data from internal memory..." so i thought it was only for internal memory...

Yah just put the Smartmedia card into your PC card reader. Make a folder called "sp505backup1" or whatever you want to call it. Drag and drop all of the contents of the card into the folder and it will save.
If you need to save internal samples they need to be saved one by one to the memory card via the system save options on the 505.
Saving your sequencer patterns is easier than backing up internal samples. Once again you will need to use the system save options on the 505, but it's a simple one step save process.
I don't sample to the internal memory for the fact that it's a pain in the ass to backup. I've got most of it filled with one hit drums so they will always be there.

Formal, i didn' found that difficult to save from internal memory to card...could you develop this a bit more please?
