asking as a 404sx user . ..anyone tried recording output to input? .. i know you hear what's recorded in as you record sample fro source ...any feedback loop?
or even split the stereo input so you have left channel for keyboard for example ,and right channel for drum machine(or ther sampler).. + maybe even mic input also - if possible
thoughts appreciated in advance

You could try it. Are you sitting in front of it asking this, just go for it. Wont be able to record the external input while playing a pad. Thats what the resample button is for.

Your splitting idea would work, might have to record in mono otherwise you might only hear in one channel or the other.

i think it will cause feedback.
Also you cant play a pattern and record at the same time. would be cool if you could resample patterns =D

get a sp555 or an sp 808 (no patterns but kinda). Or just get another cheap machne to record those patterns.
