SP-505 electrical / buzzing noise from unit (not speakers) ?

Hi all,

IO just bought an SP-505 off eBay, looks like it could do what i need but one problem - when i turn on the unit it gives off high pitched electrical noises while loading, then after loading it continues to emit a buzzing / bubbling type noise which changes a little when i spin the value knob.

Is this normal? the noise is coming from the box itself, not the speakers. Same when nothing connected, and have tried at different wall sockets. Using a Boss PSU that came with it.

Not sure whether to try and send it back - it is quite annoying when sitting thinking in a quiet room about what to do / play on other instruments.

Did you hear that noise also coming out the headphones jack?
the SP505 do not make any noise anyways, so most probably the one that you bought it is damaged, I will send it back, even if it is an issue with broken soldering points on jacks it doesn't worth spending all that money fixing it, you can buy a cheap 505 on eBay that works perfectly... the 505 it is a great machine but no much people know about it, reason why the price it is that low... but do not sleep on this machine, it is a real beast!
