if the monotribe had full midi functionality it wouldnt be as cheap as it is, unfortunately.

Hoepfully korg will work on something a little further up the chain, 350-400$ mark perhaps.

im tempted to get that monotribe with midi-kit, to use with my microsampler.
(monotribe to microsampler - external resample, pattern resample, stereo out filtering, analog....)

maxitribe- is a dope concept, but korg would make too much money off that, thats what 'the people' want right? it wont happen

YO how is the line IN filtering/FX on the monotribe. :?:

the line in filter is dum as fuck. You have to be playing the synth to hear the input. Like when i had a slim phatty (moog) you has to put a headphone adapter in the Gate in so you sort of trucked the gate to always be open, so whatever coming in the audio could be constantly heard instead of having to play a key to hear it. Since the monotribe is a ribbon synth with no gate and cv and all that other analog shit, you have to play the ribbon to hear the audio in, and while hitting the ribbon, you hear the synth as well, which isnt cool if you just wanna filter some groovy bass or some shit. not worth it, same with all their products

I've seen videos of the Monotribe working in cahoots with a Boss DR-110 and those two make a great pair. Since both lack any MIDI functionality, I can slave the DR-110 to the Monotribe by plugging the Accent/Trigger Out of the DR to the Trigger In of the Monotribe and can start cooking up some spaced out electronic musics.

I want to get a Monotribe in the worst way but I may just wait until the v2 of it drops.

You know its coming. They sold a ton of monotribes. Its a fun box for non music makers and producers. A little kid could rock out on it and make something crazy.

If I had the loot, I definitely would like to own three MonoTron Delays and pair one with my Realistic MG, one with the Casio CZ 5k, and one with the Yamaha DJx.

I borrowed a buddy's MonoTron Delay and plugged the Realistic MG-1 into the AUX in and all I can say is wow. It's like having two synths in one. The sounds were insane and the possibilities are endless.

If the MG-1 x MT Delay was a dope combo, I seriously think it would beef up the sounds of the DJx and give some attitude to the Casio CZ.
