Stubborn Function Button

Hey guys. Short time owner of a 606. Bought it gently used off a friend recently.

Everything is swell, but lately I've been having trouble with my Function button. It's a real pain in the ass to get working. It'll work after enough pressure or enough repetitious finger movements, but it impedes my progress in editing samples, etc.

Is there a way to pop open the 606's back and loosen the button or something? Would really appreciate the help. Thanks.

(Also, did not see many posts regarding this issue, but if there were, I'm sorry in advance for reposting. Any direction to a similar topic would be appreciated.)

Also, a worthwhile followup, is it only make it worse by applying pressure (not too much mind you) or would a better technique be to quickly tap the button, as this works but takes longer?

never had problems with the function button, but it's the same button as the fx buttons or other: plastics thingys...check some old posts, i had some troubles with the fx buttons like you with the Function one...i had to substitute them...(it was not me personally, but a technicien)
