I need a mixer....but which one?

So im tired of plugging and unplugging cables and i'll be moving in to a bigger dedicated room for my studio so i just need help with choosing a mixer. Budget being around $100-$150 for a used one.

-I dont need usb ( or any pc related add-ons)as i will be dealing in strictly hardware.
-I dont need any additional fx
-I want to plug in my turntable, vcr, synth and maybe one more just in case.
So is that 4 channels right? I want to be able to use stereo, will that take up 2 channels? So maybe i need 8 channels?

I was looking at Berhinger xenyx line, mackie vlz line but other than that i dont really know what im looking at.
Any one have any advice or experience...i would love to hear.

i have one of those behringers with the Fx and its pretty cool. I have a turntable, a monotribe, an ipad, and a keyboard plugged into it with the output of the mixer attached to y 404. Since the 404 only has one input. Its great to just turn something on and be able to sample without changing cords all the time. Fuck cords.

i love the eq on my xenyx 802. cheap but good. the mackie ones sound, look and feel better though. the yamaha's are a good compromise between those two in terms of price, quality and aesthetics.

ive been using the Mackie U420. its got 4 stereo channels (each can be used as mono if you want) . the 4th channel is for turntables/phono. has stereo aux out. monitor outs + headphone out. onboard eq and gain for each channel.

also has firewire. REALLY reliable and durable, great sound. been using mine since April '09.

price is $90-170-ish on ebay

Those Xenyx one's are alright. I think you find a decent Yamaha 8 channel mixer for around 100-150, though. W/Effects and other nice features.
