Re: compact flash card compatibility list
i got a Jamedia delkin 1gb that they sold me with my used og 404 at guitar center. it works but the downfall is that they charged over 60bucks for it!!!!!!!! got some sandisks online from china for 20 bucks a piece. no labels on them but they work great!!
Re: compact flash card compatibility list
I got a Panasonic SDHC 4GB card silver. Around 13€. Works perfect.
Re: compact flash card compatibility list
I have a SanDisk Ultra Extreme 1 Gig, and it has been great.
(also have a few of the Ultra II's, but you've got it listed

Re: compact flash card compatibility list
Silicon power 8go SDHC ok on sp404sx.
Re: compact flash card compatibility list
lexar 1g, seems to be my most reliable (and fastest) card
Re: compact flash card compatibility list
No solo basta con la marca, también deberían especificar la velocidad de las tarjetas, osea por recomendación que sea de "133x" si eres alguien que juega bastante con los dedos.
Re: compact flash card compatibility list
I just downloaded and installed a firmware update for my SX (go to RolandUS) , and that fixed a compatibility problem with a SanDisk Ultra 8GB. I could not get it to format until I did the update.
WTF
Re: compact flash card compatibility list
Roland 1gb compact flash works great with my 404. I was really gonna be pissed if it didn't (same company and all).I was using a Transcend 1gb (80x), but had issues with it.
Re: compact flash card compatibility list
I bought a sp 404 recently and had trouble with my cf cards. The 1GB Delkin cf doesn't work and the sandisk 1 GB doesn't work. They will format but the sampler reads them as empty when they are not. I want to know if there is something wrong with my machine or if it's really that finicky with the type of card. I noticed a few people saying the transcend cf works but they're are a few different types; Transcend CF ultra 1g industrial, 133X Compact Flash Card Transcend 1GB..I keep ordering them online finding the right card, if someone could help me with specifics that would be awesome!!!
Re: compact flash card compatibility list
I can confirm that a Sandisk 32gb class 4 works on a SP 404 sx.
Without any need for a update.

I have a Kodak 64 Mb that works great.
Re: CF / SD card compatibility list (SP 404 + SP 404SX)
Hello! I'm new to the SP-Forums.
For my SP-404SX, I use:
Kingston 16GB Class 6 (ultimate 100K) [SD6G2/16GB] - Blue with starfish label.
LX Series 32GB Class 10 [PSF32GSDHC10-PC] - Black with 'P' logo
The 32GB card takes forever to reformat, the 16GB only takes a minute or two.
I have had no skipping on my Class 6 & Class 10 cards. No skipping on the included Roland 2GB card as well.
Any hints as to which Class is better? I assume "Class" is "Speed".. Does it matter?
On my SP-555:
I use the Roland edition 2GB card and
SanDisk Ultra II 2.0GB CF card [BE070804957B]
