junior mungus +1 - def got the weirdest/ most creative with the sample & oh yes 21 seconds is hot

chopperman - wasnt sure at first with the intro but i really like ur sample pattern oh 56 seconds nice

LAZERBEAR - oh sweet a little slower then the others nice.. its emotional. the reverb on the snare is a little too much for me tho

asha c - fuck this bass is sick feel like im floating in space or in a submarine some shit. nice how the sample kinda drifts in around 130

kei kurono - i really like the pattern you used at 42 sec and right at the begining i wish you would stuck with that. the drums sound really good too!

mad evil science - really changed how the sample sounded i like that

mcfishuh - yesss the filter stuff in the middle is sick i love that

limpyloo - 33 seconds is sick i wish the drums were louder though

IIII - WHOA shit nice begining fuck this is all crazy dope nice bass. yes nice ending too

auqs - kinda fast cool its sounds like you used alot of different samples i like that. wish there was a snare though maybe im just stuck inside the box tho haha part at 130 is sick

Voted for Auqs i liked the vibe the beat had. Everyone else had dope beats too. Had some real master craftsmen on this battle. Thanks for the feedback tfa, Chopperman, Unfolding Machines, and iloveclams. @tfa not sure what happened with that clipping and distortion didn't notice it in the SP but I'm looking into it for next time. @Unfolding Machines yes this was a microwave and I should have spent more time with it because i like the sample, i still have them in the SP and i might make a revisited beat with them. Again it was fun and well done to everyone else. Looking forward to the next battle.

Cool, it'd be grouse to hear a revisit on the samples.

As admirable as microwaves can be, they just sound a little 'empty' sometimes if the chops aren't facemelters or dull if there's not much variety to the sequence. There's definitely some sources that are better for microwaving than others. But that's just one opinion of many.

This was one of the biggest battles in ages, congrats to Juniormungus!

I tried to show my wife what sampling is all about so I brought her to this battle and showed her the samples and told her the rules. She thought sampling was taking a whole song or something. Anyway, I voted for Junior because I love the drums and effects. I've always used Software for music making but over time found the over abundance of options to be paralyzing. I'm stoked about getting an SP. One reason I'm choosing an SP over an MP is because of this forum .... This is the first battle I stumbled upon and samples are sick!! If you guys are using stuff from Miyazaki films then I'm on Board. I've been making music for about ten years. Here is some of my stuff.....
