202-mpc

Post by UbiquitousCanuck »

Hey, I know the whole MPC-SP combo has been talked about on the forums, but i might be downgrading from the 303 to a 202, and getting an MPC 2000. just wondering if you think the 202 would make a good pairing for it- mainly just to do some initial chops and for adding effects?

Thanks a lot guys

ez,

i wouldn't get rid of the 303, 202 is a nice machine but ofcourse no resample and only 6 effects, sound is nice tho. if you get the mp, i use the assingable outs as a fx send to the sp the back in to the mp.

word, I wouldnt downgrade this way. 303 is already kind of a downgrade, you can get the gritty sound of 202 by your current sp too. plus it has vinyl sim which 202 aint got.

stick with what you got homie - mp will be a great addition to it I think.

The MPC2000 would be dope, but why would you want to downgrade to the 202? The MPC does what the 202 can do anyway and better. Unless you're gonna go for a grimier sound or portability, I don't know. But the 303 got the 202 beat in the efx and polyphony department.

Sorry guys should have mentioned the 303 is part of a trade that's getting me the 2000. Really don't want to get rid of it, i love it, but the mpc is a good opportunity. The reason I was thinking 202, because I'd like to stay in the SP game, but not sure if I have enough for a 404, or another 303 at the moment. Thanks for the info guys.

The 202 is heavy, I don't think you'd miss the 303 that much if you have an Mpc 2000 to pair it with.
