quick question
is there any way to record a sample on the orignal 404 while keeping other samples playing? i'm having trouble keeping things in time.

Re: quick question
while i'm at it, when i'm playing too many samples they start too turn off, but too many is only about 6 or 7 on the same bank. what would cause that?

Re: quick question
the sp 555 can do this for sure. One of the reasons i miss that box. And ive never had a 303 but i think you can do this on there as well. I think ive heard someone say you can do that with that machine. Im hazy on the 505, had it a long time ago, but i thik you could record externally and play pads at the same time, in resample mode. sp 808, yes, definitely. Had a 606, cant remember, and the roland MV, yes. the 404 is like a sp with downs syndrome, but it has big tits and a great personality.

Re: quick question
yeah it's the first sampler i ever got, i snagged one of ebay for cheap to learn about sampling. i was thinking of getting a 303 to use together with the 404 once i learn everything i can about it. then who knows, maybe i'll bump up to a 555 or 808
