ASR-10/ SP vhs Beat tape...

I took some time to learn a new sampler the asr 10. Used in conjunction with either a sp-505 or sp-303, recorded on VHS. These beats are more songs rather than sketches like on my previous beat tapes.

As always everything sampled off of 49 cent vinyl and/or vhs tapes.

The ASR-10 is dope. I haven't touched mine in a year or so but it's an excellent sampler. Too bad it takes forever to do stuff on it. It's my first professional sampler so I kind of learned that and went backwards by then learning the 303 and other budget samplers.

From what I'm hearing, this combo is dope. Thanks for showing Ensoniq some love!

Thanks guys, the asr is challenging but chopping is so easy and so fast. I love how it uses no memory even if u chop 61 pieces. The fx are great too, tho i spend more time on the sequncer than i want too it can create some swing.

You are right, Special. The ASR can chop like a champ. Re-sampling w/ FX is sick and once you figure out how to get the sequencer to swing, it's fucking DOPE. I really should get back to it and start working with it again. It really let's you get creative once you and unit really get to grooving.

Yeah...i havent dug to deep into it yet..but i might one day drop the 505 and just keep the 303 for the vinyl sim...

U convinced me to get that ms1...but i been on that asr all day.
Let me know if u hit asr again...maybe we can collab on a beat tape, i know we have similar lo-fi styles.
