I'd love to know where you got your sounds, what gear you used, where you got the tapes pressed, how long it took, maybe some inspiration, what drugs you were on, what time of day you worked on stuff, etc.

My pleasure!!. Most of the sounds were sampled from my iPad onto cassette. I would just play around on various synths while recording. I then chopped the tape up into a whole lot of samples in my computer. Once I had a big folder of samples I sampled different parts into my OP-1 and created the tracks. Most are very simple 4 bar/4 track loops. To sequence the track I record to the "album" on the OP-1, it basically just records your performance. This is where I use track mutes to sequence the songs and do my tape tricks etc. Once I have that done it's time to record to ableton. I hit play on the sequenced song on the OP-1 and records tweaks on my Octatrack, Biscuit and the ever-important SP 303.

The tape was manufactured by Amtech in Montreal.

The album was created over the course of a couple weeks with a large quantity of Kush. I usually work late at night past say 11pm when most people are asleep or in the afternoon when most people are at work. I like the feeling that everyone else is busy with their day so there is some how more creative space for me to occupy if that makes any sense. Thanks for your interest Limpyloo
