Re: Jay Aryan - Couple of beats in soundcloud
it`s super hard to program, but i mainly use it for random bleeps and some tweaked bass presets. never got any of those computer editors to work
Re: Jay Aryan - Couple of beats in soundcloud

rs7k is ridiculous! ableton live of hardware sampler/sequencers. easily my favorite gear to fuck wit. too bad none of the youtube vids show what it`s really capable of

ot
i'm now using an mc-909, another "AbletonLive" type of machine. i was indecided between this one and the rs7000 one year ago, but a super cheap occasion (400€ here in france) let every decision come down. the 909 is another beast (but, indeed, i was looking for a machine with faders for live things and to be independent from apc20+Live i was looking for an mv8000 wich was too expensive; so, i was about selling a roland d2 -a cosmetically talking awful groovebox- and the 909 got this-groovebox+faders- and many many more...)

hows sampling in mc909? never found one for sale here in finland
Re: Jay Aryan - Couple of beats in soundcloud
sampling is ok on the 909.
some cool sampling features:
you can sample/resample while listening patterns; you can chop like on sp505/606 or like mpc2000/xl (zones) or by beats (never tried this); you can combine different edited samples in one; you have one shot/gate/reverse modo for playing samples but right now i'm not very satisfied with: to bang beats is better to chop samples, 'cause with that you have real one shot.
some cool (hidden) editing feature/tips:
with the new (free) os you can use an effect (machine gun) similar to a Roll; you can combine/mix 4 samples in one of 16 track and mix/blend them in any moment or any position by tweaking just one knob;you have multisampling on all 16 tracks; you can assign to all the faders or knobs or buttons 4 functions for 1 of them (just 4 times) by cc;
the big plus is , naturally, the large SCREEN: sequencing (microedit is a great feature) is very easy.
another cool feat is the groove/quantize function

everyone needs a rs7k! seriously THE best thing ive ever put my money on
Re: Jay Aryan - Couple of beats in soundcloud
previous RS7k owner, still miss things about it.
I paid only slightly more for an MV8800 though and that thing is a beast.
