Any Chance for a sp 404 update?

Hey guys,
I am dreaming of a major 404 os improvement, especialy of a better sequencer. Maybe you remember the great Yamaha rs7000 update: os 2.0 and you were able to jump into record mode while your sequencer is running! So Great for live performances...
Another wish would be the (often discussed here) possibility to resample the 404's pattern output. But for this reason, there is the sp 555 i think...

But just a better sequencer with jump in and jump out mode, would make me happy. Sometimes i try to integrate sequencer programming in my live performance with metronome volume=0... But that is not that comfortable and you have to think of the 1 bar counting before the seq starts.
The last os update was 2007 i think (v1.5) and now there is the 404sx...now its 2012 and there is no chance for an 404os update any kind i think. Maybe i have to look 4 a aditional machine...
