where are pad settings etc stored?

Post by kimono »

Are things like loop/gate/fx settings for each bank stored internal or on the card?

I want to take a 2nd backup memory card gigging incase there's some freak occurence with the main one. Should I be able to just duplicate the main card, and have the 2nd card on standby? If the 404 is totally "wiped" would inserting the 2nd card restore everything?

Or am I worried about a reliable product? ( haven't done much gigging with it yet...)

thanks in advance!

Nothing is remembered except samples and patterns, not even sound levels are saved so I just use my memory which is more than capable since I'm OCD about music plus being manic helps my mind focus on multiple ideas or information at one time. I've never had a problem with my sp-303 in any situation. But you just gotta improvise if shit goes wrong live, I've fucked up playing back samples the way I wanted and no one would have been able to tell but I personally got frustrated and just said fuck it to the sequence and just beatboxed into the sp with some effects on the mic for like 15mins while my boy rapped and everyone loved it.

I'm pretty sure that my 404 saves individual sound levels of each sample.
