Mad Professor uses an SP

Post by thx »

don't know which model (i think it is a 404) but i'm sure it is a SP, because i've seen it yesterday night at his show with The Robotiks and Lee Scratch Perry (great show)
Mad Professor was at the mixing desk (in the hall, not on the stage with the musicians) and was adding some fx and sampling the voice of Scratch in real time
he's a master in the use of fx
never heard that sound system sounding so good like yesterday (it is a hall in my zone where i usually go to see some dope bands and djs)

this doesn't shock me in the slightest. the 404 can be used in live applications like a REAL instrument. this can't really be said of any other drum machine i've encountered including the almighty maschine (which i love with all my heart).

i use ableton and maschine primarily but i will NEVER sell my 404. there's just something very special about this little bastard...
