The amount of SPs I see going without power supplies! Where do they go? There must be a blackhole with a thousand of em on the other side.

Yah I got my 404 a few years ago without power supply too. Luckily my mc307 uses same psb1u.

Go get a powerful telescope and take a close look at the rings of Saturn. You will see lost airline luggage, single socks, and SP power supplies. I'm sure of it.
