Re: Mobb Deep Sample Kit
Classy beat for running the a capella on top. Would been nice to hear a little more variety in the samples & rhythm, but no problem since you're just starting with the Sampletrack.
I remember a bunch of videos you posted a while back using the SP-606, did you end up keeping it? Suppose the Sampletrack & SP-606 would be an interesting combo seeing they seem to be very different samplers.

yea man, even though a site like this isn't neccesarrily the best place to talk about using jacked drums(even though we've all done it at some point, whether we admit it or not, lol),i really appreciate the passion and love for the music that obviously comes through in this vid.personally i'm definitely not opposed in the least to layering some early-mid 90's drum sounds and making my own with them-it can be real difficult to replicate that sound when we don't have access to the vintage gear, reel to reels, dats, analog boards/effects processors and engineers that all went in to creating them.i can also tell that you go way back as a dj,and your skills on the tt are dope.that piano loop is really ill too, what is it if you don't mind me asking?keep doing it,the sampletrak is so much fun to use,and so nice sounding..i used to make my shit using it and nothing else, and always loved the idea of making beats with a hundred buck piece of gear that were doper than people with mpc's that cost a couple grand..it's a great feeling.peace
