using existing CF cards on a different sampler (404)

hey there good people!

i have a question that might be a bit silly, and after searching the archives i couldn't find something relevant:

i want to play with a friend that also has a 404, and i don't want to carry mine.

has anyone ever had or heard of any problem/issue when trying to use his existing CF cards on a different 404 sampler than his own? is everything working flawlessly?
