Help! Advice for live performance on SP.

I'm drawing nearer to the day. Out of curiosity, do most of yall sample your songs on the SP or just load them off the card?

i sample into the sp (through a mixer to ensure levels are all the same). I make all my beats by resampling so i chop finished beats and just re arrange them with different effects extra samples and noises. got a gig soonish that i may do some live beats. done loads of gigs with a mic in hand, but much prefer rocking beats live. my biggest problem is the type of crowd, aint much love for anything other than dnb/dubstep or typical boom bap round here, people think you've lost your marbles.

i will hopefully be filming the next one, so would be interested in what the sp fam thinks.

same here. i get 2 type of guys, either dubstep crowd cause they DJ's are feeling me, but the crowd... i don't know.

oor some kind of post rock/wierd synth type of guy gigs. those are usually fun and I end up getting the banger status cause my shit is usually more hype than thier thing. but I really respect what those guys are doing, really cool synth/rockish stuff.

i always sample in the machines (boss SPs, s950, MPCs and E-mu SP1200) because i like to do that, and because i don't have a card reader to use with my pc.
sometimes i've used Awave (v.10) to midi dump some samples from my pc to the SP1200, but i prefer to sample directly in the samplers for the anti-aliasing effect that sometimes is very interesting (especially if you sample a very hot signal with the sp1200 or the 950)

heres a cool trick for the sp's if you have another sampler. if you make your beats with the 404 sequencer, make your beat, then seperate all your parts , and sample them back to pads, then resequence them, and then you can mute the parts way easier, instead of tracking down all your sounds live from the sequencer, it sounds like more work but will give you more control over effects and stuff.
