alright guys so we lost that vinyl sim compress which is a definitely a bummer....
but....

the sx makes up for it with the....

msx15 + msx21 = synth

you could pull the same trick with the og but only with the chromatic pos.....

also bitcrash...

are you able to copy or exhange samples on the reg 404? I use that alot on the sx. also SDHC is gooooooood.

Copy and exchanging samples makes chopping so much easier.

Being able to do the same with patterns is crazy awesome too. Means I can really develop patterns and loops!

404 og does not copy pads or patterns, however there is work arounds.

resample pads is like copy , and fly lo trick for patterns, however, i find rebuilding the patterns quicker and less harsh on your memory card.

Hey a little trick you can use to create basslines is....

resample the tone that the msx15 noise generator produces.

then take that tone and turn on msx21 pitch. put knob 3 all the way to the right, and knob 2 all the way to the left. then play around with knob 1 to adjust the pitch of the tone for some cool synth notes.

you could adjust the pitch with the msx20 chromatic ps effect but its more practical to use the msx21 pitch cuz you only need to adjust one knob and its faster.

its a cool little trick the sx has over the og.

also... if you add msx10 to your bass notes you can create some dope sp wobble bass =D.
