so as far as i can tell that shit is murderous to your speakers =(...

it seems to just make your sound so sharp and punchy that it hurts your ears.. does anyone actually use the attack setting?

Also remember when you have Effect Limit on the Attack knob becomes the Release , and its far less aggressive and speaker safe.

^^^
definitely have my effect limit on so i have it in release mode.

i was just wondering who would ever use the attack mode justs seems like it has not use other than to scare the shit out of you when youre speaker starts making hard popping noises as you turn the attack up and trigger the samples.

[CANCEL] + [MFX] turns the effect limiter on and off. I've had the same thing....if the Limiter is off, then the attack basically just clips no matter what you do (great for farting kicks). If I am using the regular compressor, I turn the limiter on and if the Vinyl Sim (I have the OG 404), then I turn it off.
