Anybody use MARK for live beat repeating?

Post by admbmb »

Its good if you have a loop going, and then tap MARK a couple of times to grab the loop for a second and then tap it once more to go back to normal. I wish you could resample this type of thing. Sometimes, I will resample this MARKed loop to a seperate pad and then throw it in occasionally.

i do that with the mark-let-go stuff so that i don't go back to the beginning
you can turn 1-2-3-4 into 1-1-2-2-3-3-4-4 on the fly... crazy with breaks too...
i resample to my second 404 which the loop capture couldn't do i guess...

1-2-2-1-2-3-3-4 nice one, too  just need to mark the second "2" twice...

this is so nerdy....

When you say 1-1-2-2, are you meaning measures or samples? Guess I dont know what the mark let go thing is.

yeah exactly.. time measures... makes it an manual looper effect and more.
the technique i mean is the mark-mystery thing... multi-mark chopping? never heard of? i guess lot'S of people are already sick of ,mentioning this; and some just don't get it (i'm looking at you neukölln). works on the 555 as well... to me a game changer in chopping...

I think that mark-mystery-method is confusing to the people because it works differently on 303.. 404og.. 404sx.. different on each one..

The 202 was crazy for marking right at the end of a sample/loop and then effecting with the real time pitch and reverse... Sounds like some djfx onthe 202
