computer to sample trouble

i imported some samples from my computer to my sp 404 and only like the first minuet or two uploaded. any help

Your other samples may be of unsupported format, even if they are in '.wav'. I had this problem, too, when I tried to import the samples downloaded from the net. I just opened them in the simpliest audio-editor like Audacity and re-saved them as .wav with default parameters, and then uploaded them to the card. Maybe it will help you.
