has anyone successfully time strecthed

i've been messing with the parameters and bpm sync and still can not time strecth i read the manually and everything has anyone ever done it

There's a thread here somewhere about it. You can get much better results if you use Acidized Wavs with the P606 software.

In general, the timestretch is better for drums than melodic sounds and is best kept to a minimum to avoid artefacts. Keep your stretching to +/- 5 bpm and you're laughing.

I remember reading a review in Sound on Sound which suggested that the BPM sync function didn't work properly, but I've managed to adjust the tempo on drum loops many times. Never tried it with other instrumental parts though and you can't stretch things too much - it's only good for subtle adjustments.

What sort of loops are you trying to sample? Are they ones that have already been trimmed to make sure they end at exactly the right place or do they need editing manually first of all?

i also timestretched without any problems--works perfect!!!!

remember -- if you have 1 bar loop - make it 1 measure longin sp 606 and while recording a pattern make your pattern 1 measure long as well
