Drum beat software
I"m having trouble looking for some software so i can make some decent beats.
Can't get FL as i got a MAC. i'm feeling lost in beats.
I have a 404 but i don't dig it for pattern making.
anyone got any help?

I have no experience with newer Macs, but wouldn't GarageBand be useful as a sequencer? I have no experience with that program, either, but from the looks of the screens it seems like you should be able to sequence with it. Do Macs come with it now? Other than that, you can find free 'lite' versions of many of the bigger applications, and use those for simple sequencing. Most of the big ones are available for both Mac and PC these days.

This is what i'm looking for thanks!
i understand i can do this with 404. however some of the beats i'm using have different volumes.
I'm fed up of programing patterns i spend years doing that with my 303!

Here you go, you don't have to buy shit. This is basically ableton live but with a simple graphical user interface, the guy who made this worked on the next version of ableton.

Ha, your so silly it's called virtualization you should try it sometime. So he can run xp or vista or whatever he wants and then he can run shortciruit on his mac. I have osX running on my dell. You'd run xp for vista for the very reason that there are many more free programs and little neat programs for xp than osx. But I have both a mac and pc since I don't like to tax one system with two os's like with parallels. But it's all good. I can make full beats with nothing other than audacity, but garageband is super simple and easy to use as a sequencer and it's free with all macs.
