For how fast you are churning out sound, some of this stuff bumps.
I think if you allow a little more time to let the arrangement of the loops simmer you'll end up with a far better flavor than "microwaving" them up real quick.
I found that I was getting into what I was hearing, and it got my head nodding, then the effects would start tweaking, which got creative, but then got a little carried away and the beat lost its rhythm. Some twisting of the knobs adds interest. But there's a line between melodic and chaotic.
You definitely got some creative talent. And its got replay value. Which is a favorable uncommon, since the majority of what I see pasted up on the boards of the interwebs leaves me with little interest for return. I'm interested in hearing what comes next from you.

You're taking something that's been done before, but making it your own with your own personal swing to it. Which I applaud on an originality level.

Like I said, some of the sounds I was hearing were crazy. But when I started getting into them, the improv would off-kilter the overall tempo. I love the twist you put on the loops. Just think if they were slightly applied it would keep things going for a bit. I don't have a big attention span when listening to music from artists I've never heard before. So keeping the vibe going and then cutting into a transition is nice with a smoothing approach.

Your tracks had a storyline to them and the music made me want to read more into what you were about. Even the way your packaged the zip download was craft. Nice cover image and even a sort of liner note with an .rtf file that randown a tracklisting. I like listening to music in sequential order that the creator took time to arrange into a flow of things. I think the file names you gave to the MP3s could use a numeral digit i.e. 01_ocarinatitle.mp3 so playback is in correct order. The website shows great initiative and amazing how up to date it is. Again, I'm wowed at the magnitude of how well some of the sounds are in understanding of how quickly they are produced. The graphics weren't my cup of tea, but I've always had the mindset of who care's about the look, it's the sound that I yearn for in music. Plenty of records I've listened to with keen artwork but when played had a whack noise.
When I started digging into it, things got chaotic again. Tons of different aliases. Having to click through and open 3 different windows to download 12MB+ of audio that I don't have a preview of.
I understand the underlying style of your art is eclectic and obscure. But you don't want to get listeners lost. Bandcamp offers a great way to easily post your music within your domain and offer easy preview/download (even purchase for your fans).

But definitely stay motivated to keep putting out good music. You were able to capture my attention enough to have me searching a bit through your online presence. So you got something worthwile. I'll be listening for more.

I love the rough factor. The no track number listing. The microwave lofi rawness. The tweaking. Right up my alley...this is dope as all hell. Keep that wow flutter knob rolling, mang. Raw dopeness, here.

i don't think ANYONE has ever said that much about my shitty shit.

here's some extra info on this just because you took the time to write that..
this tape was made in 2days.
i can completely relate to what you mean about the FX usage, i myself question every twist of the knob i make.
i appreciate your interest in me but i must say that alot of the stuff on the internet that i made is not that great so i'm sorry if you are disappointed !
BUT! i will have much more stuff from me coming out very soon on the microwavedmeows site that i would say personally is my favorite stuff i've made yet.. sooo yeah... soooon!

and again, thanks man! appreciate the thought you put in!!!!!!

I wasn't disappointed. I was enlightened. There's no disappointment here, just giving you some constructive feedback.
Who am I anyway? I'm nobody. Just stating in opinion of what I myself would like to hear. If I was to say if it was good or not, of course I'd side with good. To make it great, I'd fine tune it more before pushing it out.

I wouldn't question yourself because what you put out was dope. I just think before you release stuff, to refine it a bit. I like the ideas you put together. With the way you experiment with your sounds, if that little extra was added to detail the whole thing, you could wrap tracks like that up into a sellable EP, or even an album.
Heck, I'd buy it.

For instance, the mixing of "ocarinatitle" would sound better if the hats and snares were differentiated more from the bass thump and kicks.
I like the metallic sound you got going with the hat/snare, but their levels can be dropped down a little bit and they will still have relevant strength in the mix.
Whatever that galloping sound is at the start at the track is so ill. It's a cross between a horse gallop or a chop of rifle echo. A small, touch of negative pitch a wee-bit would bring more life to it. And reducing the pitch to that sample would take a little from the high end and put more in the mid.

I love the flutters in speed. And the sort of hiss cutouts here and there. That's what gives this record a pulse.

The part that is panned is a good touch. But the pan happens to fast for me. Putting one sample on the left and then other sample on the right. And holding the pan toggle longer from side to side would perfect that piece.
Just before the ending is where it gets super dope. Where the sample stutters I almost thought the beat was gonna flip into something different. And it drew me in to the closing, that ended good. Stretching out those last notes in the samples a little longer could add to the dramatics before that gallop into the horizon at the end.

The fact that you could put stuff like that together in 2 days confirms to me that you got mad skill.
Like I said in my last post, the material you produced could quite easily be mixed, slept on for a day, returned for editing scrutiny, double checked for mix again, and then mastered into a no shit EP up for sale as an instrumental album.
I'm quite sure I wouldn't be the only one purchasing a download.

i like you and your squads work.

culprit = inspirational for a minute

how do you guys get your tracks mixed down nicely so quickly?

and what do you use to get that "ducking" on a lot of your tracks? assuming you only use sps.

Thanks animal amigo

Sometimes a hot drum compressed with vinyl sim on the OG 404 helps duck out or side chain samples... I'm not sure if that's what you mean, I can't find the download link for A-bombs meowser 64 tape....?.. Am I that stunned!?

@coop ... It's nice seeing someone write more than 'sick' 'dope' on an album drop... I am guilty for the ' ' tho

SICK
DOPE

BUT where's the link!?
