Does anyone own a 808 and a 303 and just tell me the difference in the sound. I hear a lot of people talking about the great lofi quality of the 303 and how the filter is great. Im just wondering how they compare. I have an 808 and the filter effect is great as well. When compared to the 404, you wonder who the fuck was working that day cause the filter effect on the 404 is shitty as fuck. Has to be about a 6db reduction and the resonance just "tins" everything. The 808 has the ability to sample at 32000hz which gets a bit of warmth but im wondering how the 303 compares.
If anyone knows, let me know.

Effects-wise, the 808 notz ta be fukd wiv. But you know that already...

Isolator is pretty rad on the 303. When I make a beat I usually try to assign each instrument to a specific and narrow frequency range, and resampling with the isolator does that quite well.

Most of the 303 fx I don't use, like the fuzz and phaser and chorus and stuff like that.

The compressor and vinyl sim on the 303 are beasts.

Time stretch on the 303 is super-meh. 808 is a beast in the time-stretch department.

Ya time stretch on the 808 is pretty dam good. considering! Well, thanks for the reply. I just needed to know without going out and buying a 303. The 808 has the best effects on any Roland machine I've messed with and enough to go around.
