Re: Best Ipad/pod/phone Beat Making Apps.
anyone rock that tabletop app for the ipad. I saw that it did sidechain compression so i checked it out and its pretty good. Sort of like reason where as you can set your chains and rock out. Like, set up your sampler through a splitter that splits your input into 2 outputs. So one goes into your master mixer/output and the other goes into the sidechain slot on your compressor. While a synth goes into the compressor and into the master mixer so all of your kick drums can key the compressor and pump your synth. pretty sweet stuff just for that. And everything else is good. direct like from your ipad music app to the turntable. an audio recorder to record your tracks live if your link it up to the master output or just link it to a device and record a section then loop it. Has a pattern trigger like ableton which is fucking DOPE. and every device does overdubs so witht he patter trigger you can go nuts. Has a step drum machine like fruity loops. a glitch effect like the 404's bpm looper or dj fx looper so you can go forward and reverse and glitch. and a bunch of other shit. The only thing is that you start with 11 devices and you can purchase others. Which is kinda gay but the 11 you start with is good enough for 99 cents. once you realize how fucking cool the app is you will probably go and buy more devices like the tt 303 bassline device or the mixer with aux sends and returns. Pretty dope fucking app.

Does Beatmaker 2 have a sampler pitch keyboard like Nanostudio?

Yes it does. It's actually better because you can assign single samples to any key or you can select a range and pitch across the range. It also multi samples.

Just got the new Propellereads app Figure. It's pretty cool check out this beat I made. I first just got something going with figure then sampled the parts into my OP-1 and went from there. For a buck why the hell not?

posted this up in the 303 forum but that doesn't make sense.
I'd really like to see an (android) app that does some basic but good pitch-shifting... also i hope they port that animoog to the android, looks sweet.
Just copped a new htc one v, had a htc magic before this running electrum, but it started getting so slow it wouldn't work anymore. The htc one v is very nice, but i still have to try it out with heavier work.
Also, the minijack on this new phone has audio in (for the headset) - does anyone know if you can plug some sort of audio in/out in there and use it as a recorder? that would be nice.
