Limit of Patterns?
How many patterns can be saved on the SP until u have to start dumping to the pc or erasing? because I know that u dont have to save on the SP it all saves automatically and all you have to do is save the samples to the CF card....I want to use the sp as my sample chopper/sample sequencer with FL 4 so basically I would chop my sample on the SP make my sample pattern or whatever then record it to FL. but I know after awhile my CF cards gonna get full soo I will have to change it out with another 1 and my patterns in the SP will still be there except they will play the stuff on the other CF card...I dont want to run into that problem soo what would you guys recommend? and Again whats the limit on the sp for patterns I know theres only 4 trax per pattern....
I know about the sounds part I was just sayin I know my CF card is gonna get full eventually and when it does what would I do when I have to change it out and the other patterns are playing the samples out of place....and how would i not lose my patterns from the other samples? Resample or save patterns on my CF...? if thats even possible..
The patterns will never go away or change without you deleting/overwriting them. Nevertheless, with so many save slots it's gonna be a long while before it becomes an issue. As far as running out of space on the card, it might happen, but not very often! I don't think you can save patterns to the card. It would be nice, as I sometimes use two 606's and it would be handy for duplication purposes. But oh well.
I keep drumkits and multis on the internal banks (as these breadnbutter sounds get used a lot) and thus most patterns sound ok even if the sounds get replaced (as they will generally be replaced with similar ones).

Actually you can save patterns on the SP-606.
