Using Ableton to trigger samples and pattern on the 404

Hi fellows,

My friend just lend me his 404 which is a cool piece of gear but i have troubles putting a track on form.

So i've decided to edit my patterns in Ableton but i can't make it works the way i want : I want to edit a clip on ableton and write the good MIDI informations the 404 will read and make a Pattern with that on the 404.

The problem is when i'm reading the MIDI notes on ableton, the 404 is starting to read the Presetted pattern of the 404.

To sum it up i'm having trouble with MIDI informations :s

How could I make it work the way i want (if it's possible)?

Hi,

When you press play on Ableton, the SP404 pattern sequencer will play too if the SP404 midi sync mode is either set to "auto" or "external." Look in the options for the 404 and you can turn the Midi sync to "internal."

That should sort out that problem

I was aware of that but i didn't reach what i wanted to do.
Whatever i like this machine but i can't get what i want to do with that , i think i'll just use it to make my samples dirty and organise my track on a DAW.
