my vote goes to mohzus. i love when the beat changes up and gets all mellow and echoey. you made the sample almost sound like it was from a middle eastern record or something.. and the bass tones fit in there nicely too. great beat man

runner-up was unfolding machines. he was really styling with samples. almost sounded like the neptunes or something. A very classy beat. Cool stuff going on at the end too.

Took ages to pick which way to vote. Ended up for Teewok because the triplet snares in the 2nd half your chorus/hook section. I'm a sucker for 3/4 & 4/4 polyrhythms. Plus the chops were more playful here than the rest of our submissions.

Very close 2nds to Mohzus (that's a song not just a beat with those dynamic shifts & verse/chorus stucture, but the bass was a little bit out & districted me from how great your melody was in the mellow verses), Prequel (killer rhythm but a little long & draining to listen to for 3 minutes without calm bits), & Hseiken (nice, melodic & simple but a little loose sounding compared to the others).

Great battle! You lot made me feel lazy submitting a beat with such a murky & unbalanced low end...

Damn the standards are so high!

Loved the bass work on mohzus' track, but I just really dug the whole feel of elhuana's track. The arrangement and use of FX were very well done!

Is voting limited to only the people who entered or can anyone vote?
