i want a cdj-400

Post by jbl »

i just saw this on the net the other day. it's all over youtube. really it even looks better than the cdj-1000 if you think about it. i know there are some scratch purists here so what i like about it is it's not being promo'd as a scratch type cd player but a cd player with a scratch option. but what i've seen so far seems to lend to the idea that it might be the best yet. it's here in japan now for 70,000¥ (700bills). as soon as i save up, this might be might be my new toy. then again the sp606 has gone down and i've had my eye on that for a while.

regardless, just goes to show technology kicks ass.

If you're not going for insane scratch routines, then the CDJ-400s, or similar "jog wheel" CDJs, would be great. Trying to do insanely precise cuts and skribbles can be difficult, but if you're just going for simple scratches, or just being able to pull a beat back, those simpler CDJs are great. (Oh yeah, I just use CDJ to refer to any CD Turntable, not specifically the Pioneer ones, just want to clear that up).

looks really awesome, but I'll keep diggin' in them crates to find them scratches and perfect my baby-scratch everyday.
