Loading Samples

Post by Cope-One »

I recently copped a SP505 and playing around with the preformatted samples as cool, I was happy and now am a bit dismayed.

I cannot get it to read my SM card. It doesn't see the music. i have formatted it and found that there are like 2 folders (Roland\SP\) and drill down. Where do I put the sample file and in what format? I saw some zips and I put it in Wav and Aiff from Audacity ...

I am using a linux PC with an external reader to move the files to. Any ideas or suggestions would be dope.

the 505 reads .wav or .aiff files, try to put them in the roland folder or outside from it. i don't remember well, sorry.
have you check the 505 tips'n'tricks section? maybe there is the answer.

Oh yeah, that usually means card is dead. :(

Put it aside, get a new card. :D

Found another card, I got it working and put the files in right. Was happy to get it working, now have to watch Olby to learn how to chop and such.
