Quick question..

Post by coveredinfrogs »

Hey guys,
I'm thinking about ordering my Sp-555 this week but I have a problem with my computer. My cd drive isn't working anymore and if I buy the 555 I wont be able to fix it for a while.

So I'm wondering, can I use my 555 without the software that it comes bundled with? I dont want to order it and find that I cant put my samples in it.

I have a CompactFlash slot but no working disk drive.
Lemme know. Thanks.

Yes, you would have to sample into it, via the audio inputs. I've never used a 555 but I assume they are RCA inputs like the 202, 303, and 404. You can use it as a standalone box without it being connected to your computer.
