RC-20 Loop Station

Post by Fradfresco »

So i've got a boss rc 20 loopstation. i'm sure it works great with direct in but i've seen two events where they record something and it is too quiet.

I think one of them was using a mic it was because the mic was powered? I'm not really an expert on this stuff...

pretty much what i'm trying to do is write a piece for a friend that uses all four saxophones and he wants to play all 4 saxophones so asked me to write it with a loop station.

the hard part is to match the volume of my actual playing and the volume that's coming out of the speaker. i have a decently sized PA system!!!

THANK FOR HELP!

Loopstations all have input volume knobs that you can adjust. If you can't get the playback loud enough (or it feeds back) you'll need to do some kind of pre-amp on the mic on the way in, with a cable that brings the mic level to line level.
