Stattik/RCA cable?

why am i getting stattic through my rca cables .. Is it the cable itself or the units?

can u describe ur setup? and how loud is the static? There is always gonna be a tiny bit, but if setup properly it should be unnoticeable

just running a RCA with the headphone jack on one side from a interface to a sp.... It's killing me ....even tried, simply hooking it to the head phone jack on the lab top straight to the sp...still loud stattik, when the cable barely moves around it twitches and gets louder.

Those 1/8th to RCA jacks are lousy on the 1/8th side sometimes, I'd put my money on that and not the unit its self. I'd say get a new cable or if thats not an option you could try to splice a new 1/8th jack on the end (usually the RCA ends hold up pretty well I've found).

I found out theres a box called Hum X....To hook to your home power source and it takes all hum out of your power? Also Who uses monster cable RCA's ? Are thery the best?

What kind of interface do you have? what are the software settings for it? (should come with like a software mixer or something) (and hardware settings)?

Is it set to line level or instr./mic level? (are you running in a preamped input or not?)

Just an MBOX2 ..sometimes i run analog synths through the intrument lines... ..i also use m box as my mixer .. so my monitors run out of it ,,, and sometimes i run the rca out of the phone jack to get a sample...not sur about the softwear mixer or hardwear setting your talking about..
