Ill Greezy, I could've sworn you did this on the MS-1. It at least sounded like you did this on the MS. Excellent work!!

Word, the MV has the same converters as the MS which not too many people know. The MS-1 was considered a high-end piece at the time and were going for $599 USD brand new. Even the flash memory cards were like $299 USD each. I wouldn't have gotten the MV if my sound couldn't transfer over. Its a very grimey machine, but also can give a distinct clean sound too if you want. It all depends on what sounds you sample and how you eq it in.

Thanks again fam!!!

Thanks Elhuana!!!
I tried to expand it to reach 40min and this project was 4.2G on my hard drive but after all the editing it wounded up to be 25min like the last album. Fate I guess. Glad you liked it.

It feels that way, but really I've been a lost soul roaming the limits of limbo and only remember 1996. Thanks for peeping the joints Ark!!!

Oh shit, you still got the 1000, thats dope man. Reel to reel is the bomb, can't find that sound anywhere but at least having that VS will craft a dope sound, that I know. I still got my MV and gotten so deep with it that I don't think I'll look at another piece of gear for a long time. Peace bro.

Got any tips you care to share about MV grit?

I've gotten some good dirt on it but i'm still pretty new to the machine in some respects - love the lofi processor, compression pumped way up, and for spacey stuff its hard to beat the RSS delay/ Tape Echo stuff

That shi* is dope! I like those dirty beats. Your flow remind me of old Lo-Deck tracks. My favourite is "No Grenade", this beat is unbelievable.

OLD SAMPLER effect is the stuff. It makes basslines silky smooth than the Isolator effect (I prefer the SP isolator better).

My method is just totally stripping the sonic frequencies in 3 parts; Low, Mid and High. And then create a composition with them...yeah, I'll explain. Take No Grenade for example. It was just a 5 second sample and it was in mono. With OLD SAMPLER, I stripped off the bassline and put it to a pad, then with Isolator, I stripped off the mids which was the organ piece and put that on a second pad and the highs which contained the guitar and cymbals crashing and put that to a third pad. Now I have control over a 5 second mono sample and can turn the bass on or off etc. This trick is really dope with stereo samples because sometimes the guitar is on the right channel and the piano on the left so I'll be stripping a 5 second sample for days. Then when I mix it down, I add just a pinch of boost to the low, mids and highs. Thats the Ill Green way.

Favorite Hip-Hop album of the year so far. The flow on No Grenade is insane  Mechanical people was another fav and that last joint, but these are all gems. Crazy talent, keep it murky. Much respect Ill Green.
