what im wondering is how could i do what he did with my 555. like is it even possible to create that kind of sound with the 555 and foot pedals.

Not exactly, as the 555 hasn't got chromatic tuning of samples, and the workaround is really not worth the effort. However the 505 can be used in this way.

this is why i loved my EPS so much! even though i didn't get a chance to use it a lot before selling it due to moving.



Yeah, using speed up samples, slowing them back down when using them to save memory, that must have been crazy times when it comes to working around the limitations.
