I made a beat tape using exclusively cassette samples and the SP-404 OG. I had a lot of fun making this, it took me back to the old days. Here it is and I hope someone out there enjoys!

Thanks! It’s a lot of guitar, bass and keyboard parts played live (and poorly). Then there are little loops and clips throughout that are mostly from sampling myself, with a few samples from outside material.

Hey, I just uploaded this collection of sort of downtempot/ambient/whatever instrumental music. It's littered with little loops and effects that were made with an SP-555. I hope that you enjoy it.

So I used a 404 for years and then sold it. Bought a 555 and used that for a while but didn't like it as much as the 404. Then I bought a Sampletrak and I love that thing, but I just bought an OG 404 (black and gold w/ 1GB card for $249!) because I need the storage space.

So when I record a loop using the foot pedal (just some generic one I bought used), the input switches off after I end the loop. It's sort of annoying if you want to just keep adding parts on the fly. Is there a way to fix this or is that the way it works?

Well I went and bought a new adapter. Everything appears to be working normally now. Thanks for your help! Big relief.

It's an enercell 3-12v 1A thing. I didn't know it it was variable to be honest. Could I have accidentally switched the power too high and blown it or something? I know very little about these things, and i should've been more aware.

I've had my SP for about 6 months now, and its been working fine up until a week ago. I took out my memory card to load my exported samples onto my computer (the SP was off this whole time) and then the next time I went to use it..nothing. I've been using a power adapter from the guy I bought it ...

I made this beat like two years ago and forgot about it. Then I re-worked it a few months back and here is the result.
