Coudl you press pattern select, then trigger the pad that holds the pattern?

You're simply triggering a location on the sp.

Did you try this?

Anyone see any "latency", as in, hitting a trigger and the sound seemingly not coming out immediately after.

I was experimenting with some new used Roland pads last night and it seems like the sound is initiating a few hundred milliseconds after I hit. But what's cool is the velocity sensitivity ...

Looks like the pot my vol knob is on is affecting recording and playback, going beteween one channel and stereo.

Anyone know a fix?

I have a cool media converter that allows me to go from rca to xlr live with a volume control. It's good for soloing the sampler, but when the whole band is going, I can't hear ...

I use old soundtrack stuff and pull beatrs from them.

Google them, try to find recordings they played on, go to town.

Old soundtracks have a lot of great drum beats and sounds, and the web is full of them, if you look wisely.

I will chop them up and tweek in soundforge, then sample. I am also sequencing with freeware progs like psycle and buzz.

I am a newb so maybe if you could demo a typical live performance, adding and removing samples and creating patterns on the fly.

Thanks a lot man. I'm just a simple drummer with simple means and a need to hit things, buttons, animal skins, that I just can't understand.

I have a pretty new 404 I picked up via VintageSynth and I have some tabla patterns recorded.

The effects don't always work on playback, I don't think the box is hosed, but it's odd, cuz they do work sometimes.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, any thoughts?
