Would u say running a track through the Og 404 compression is fairly accurate to the actual og404 machine or is it a fairly synthetic emulation?
the 404vinsim on the mkii is as on the SX. filter+noise+flutter
the 303vinsim is the one that is like the 303-404og vin sim

sd cards is the shit. cf cards for the og is a pain in the ass. just some days ago another 1gig card broke down. like i put it on and it makes terrible noises and sometimes plays a ton of samples all intertwined from just one pad. shit is weird as fuck. maybe i should record that shit ...

i think its using the echo delays pitch function, but i remember it sounding dull and muffled when it was done on a 404, not unusable, but would prefer having something else to do that job for me, a 202 or a 224 maybe with all its extras

for loops there is tricks like working only on the 99bar trick. like if you make house or tekno then with some patience u can make exact leghth loops by adjusting the start/end point while it runs the loop on seq and check till it goes off, stop seq then again. its a little trouble making beats like ...
